Onboarding Specialist
Location: (ONSITE) Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood, FL (with occasional travel to other local South Florida offices)
Job Overview:
The RPM (Patient Monitoring) Specialist plays a key role in enhancing patient care through the use of remote technologies. This position is based in our endocrinology office in Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood, FL, and may require occasional travel to our other South Florida offices for coverage. The RPM Specialist is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and managing remote patient monitoring systems, specifically Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGM) and Blood Glucose Monitors (BGM). The role involves working closely with healthcare providers and patients to ensure the effective use of RPM devices, interpreting health data, and providing guidance for optimal patient health management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and foster strong relationships with patients, ensuring they are comfortable and confident in using RPM devices.
- Set up, configure, and manage RPM devices, including glucometers, blood pressure monitors, and other wearable health monitoring equipment.
- Provide training and ongoing support to patients for the proper use of RPM devices.
- Monitor patient data from RPM devices and generate detailed reports for healthcare providers.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to interpret patient health data and make informed care decisions.
- Coordinate and schedule patient follow-ups, troubleshooting sessions, and device maintenance.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to RPM devices and arrange repairs or replacements as needed.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry and documentation in patients' electronic health records (EHR).
- Maintain patient health and safety by providing continuous monitoring support and ensuring the functionality of RPM systems.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in healthcare, medical technology, or remote patient monitoring systems is preferred.
- Tech-savvy with a solid understanding of health monitoring devices and health data interpretation.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with healthcare providers and patients.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to RPM devices.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and health data management.
- Patient-focused with strong empathy and a commitment to providing excellent care.
Additional Skills:
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple patient interactions.
- Experience working with remote care technologies is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation and data management.
